There’s not many awards for conservationists so it was nice to have Li featured in section saluting Hong Kong’s ‘tireless environmental campaigners’ and ‘vigilant crusaders’. The issue focused on big organizations and big-hearted individuals like Li who was described as ‘small in stature, but big in fight’.

Acclaimed artist, photographer, jewellery designer Dickson Yewn has started work on a new book featuring 100 outstanding women of influence and achievement in Hong Kong. The large-format B&W monograph will be launched next year with a celebrity-studded Charity Ball. Proceeds (in part) go to Save China’s Tigers.

Any move that is handled by Asian Tigers generates a contribution to the Tiger Action Fund. This Fund benefits the wild tigers in Asia and is administered by the International Fund for Animal Welfare and Save China's Tigers. SCT is greatly appreciative to Asian Tigers, Rob Chipman, Florence Wong and the whole Asian Tiger Team.

Mike Pitcher retired as Vice Chairman, (Asia Pacific) of Barclays Bank in 1999. He has several non-executive directorships in Asia and Europe and a number of 'angel' investments covering a range of business sectors. His hobbies include marathon running and adventure activities Mike will no longer be advising our HK office on financial matters but will continue as a valuable supporter and advisor. SCT/HK is seeking four select corporate sponsors to help feed each of our four tigers in South Africa. Each sponsor would help look after the feeding and part of the yearly maintenance costs for the tiger they sponsor for one year (additional years optional). Pick from Madonna, Cathay, TigerWoods and our new male: 327. These tigers are undergoing rewild training and in our breeding program before their ‘wild’ cubs are reintroduced to pilot reserves in China.
We are packaging each sponsorship at $750,000 HKD (about $96,000. USD). Besides the wonderful feeling of doing something significant to help these critically endangered tigers, your corporation will be able to use images of your tiger in corporate messages and promotions.

Hong Kong Hosted the 2007 Wharton Global Forum in May. SCT founders Li Quan and husband Stuart Bray both hold MBAs from the Wharton Business School and this year Save China’s Tigers was made the beneficiary charity of the raffle and auction at the Gala dinner at Asia-World Expo.
